GOP EATS ITS OWN, DEMOCRATS REJOICE

I AM ALWAYS ENTERTAINED BY BOTH PARTIES DAILY LIES, ESPECIALLY DURING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEARS.

MAYBE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED HOW THE CANDIDATES BEGIN DIGGING UP EACH OTHER'S SKELETONS AND SLINGING MUD ALL OVER ONE ANOTHER AS THE "RACE" WEARS ON, BUT I HAVE WATCHED IT FOR OVER 50 YEARS.
IT'S QUITE REVEALING.

DOESN'T IT OCCUR TO "PARTY MEMBERS" THAT, SINCE THERE'S THAT MUCH DIRT TO BE FOUND ON ALL THESE CANDIDATES, MAYBE SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE ENTIRE TWO-PARTY, OR ANY PARTY, SYSTEM AND EVERY "CANDIDATE" THEY APPROVE?

OLD WEEPING JOHN (BOEHNER) SEEMS TO BE THE PRIME TARGET TODAY, AS SOME IN HIS OWN PARTY HAVE SUGGESTED, YET AGAIN, THAT HE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM HIS POSITION AS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE.

LET THE NAME-CALLING AND CHARACTER ASSASSINATIONS BEGIN!
THIS COULD PROVE INTERESTING.

WHAT DON'T WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT BOEHNER?
WHAT WILL THIS MOST RECENT FLURRY OF OPPOSITION TO JOHNNY BOY REVEAL?
WE KNOW HE HAS SOME EMOTIONAL ISSUES, A PROBLEM WITH ALCOHOL, BLESS HIS HEART, AS MY GRAMMY USED TO SAY, AND THAT HE IS QUITE, HOW SHALL WE SAY IT, VOLATILE WHEN THE PRESS PRESSURES HIM?

IT ISN'T LIKE OTHERS IN THE GOP CAMP HAVEN'T SPOKEN ILL OF HIM BEFORE.
HE'S BEEN CALLED A "WIMP", A "LUSH", "STAND-OFFISH", ETC, EVER SINCE BEFORE HE WAS SPEAKER OF THE BROTHEL, I MEAN, HOUSE.

WHAT I'D LIKE TO CONCENTRATE ON IS THE CANNIBALISM THAT IS ONGOING.
WHEN THE GOP ATTACKS ANY MEMBER, ANY OF ITS OWN, OR WHEN THE DEMOCRATS DO THE SAME, WE CAN LEARN A LOT!
GLOVES COME OFF, IT'S A SLUGFEST, AND TRUTHS EMERGE...QUITE OFTEN.

EVEN A WEE MORSEL OF TRUTH FROM ANY POLITICIAN IS REFRESHING.

WHO HAS MORE "DIRT" ON ONE ANOTHER THAN THOSE IN THE SAME PARTY, RIGHT?

ABOUT JOHN...SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF CARDS.

THE LAST ROUND OF ELECTIONS FOR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE, JANUARY OF THIS YEAR, SAW 25 REPUBLICANS VOTE AGAINST BOEHNER, SEVERAL OF WHOM HAD RECEIVED CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS FROM HIM.
MORE THAN TWICE THE NUMBER OF REPUBLICANS VOTED AGAINST HIM THAN DID IN 2013.
HE WON WITH 216 VOTES, 192 OPPOSED.
OUCH!
THAT HAD TO HURT.

WHO WOULD BE THAT THANKLESS?

AS BLOOMBERG "REPORTED" (I USE THE TERM VERY LOOSELY. BLOOMBERG ONLY "REPORTED" 24 GOP MEMBERS VOTING AGAINST BOEHNER, BTW. THERE WERE 25.):

1~"Paul Gosar of Arizona, who voted for Representative Daniel Webster of Florida as speaker, received $10,000 from Boehner's political operation in 2012, when Arizona's districts were dramatically revised; he received nothing in 2014, when he was easily re-elected. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington-based research group that tracks campaign giving,
19 of the Republicans who didn't vote for Boehner today have received money from his PAC since 2010.The person these anti-Boehner renegades backed to become the next speaker is noted parenthetically, [THE AMOUNT EACH RECEIVED FOLLOWS WHOM THEY BACKED.]:

2~
Curt Clawson of Florida (Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky): $14,000. Clawson won a special election last June and was re-elected last November in a strongly Republican district. He ran as a political outsider.

3~ Rod Blum of Iowa (Daniel Webster): $7,000. Blum, a freshman, won the eastern Iowa district that Democrat Bruce Braley gave up to wage a Senate campaign that was unsuccessful. Democrats will target his seat in 2016.

4~ Dave Brat of Virginia (Representative Jeff Duncan of South Carolina): $10,000. Brat stunned the political world when he unseated Eric Cantor in a Republican primary in June, when Cantor was the incumbent majority leader and No. 2 to Boehner.

5~ Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee (Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio): $5,000. Weakened by personal scandal, DesJarlais nonetheless eked out a win in his 2014 primary, the key election in the Republican-friendly district.

6~Chris Gibson of New York (Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California): $5,000. Gibson, one of the least conservative House Republicans, said before the vote that he would honor a term-limits pledge and not seek re-election in 2016.

7~Mark Meadows of North Carolina (Webster): $5,000. Meadows is in his second term representing the western section of the state.
[NOTE: THIS PUTS TO BED THE DAY'S ACCUSATIONS THAT MEADOWS HAS BROUGHT UP OUSTING BOEHNER DUE TO HIS REMOVAL FROM ONE OF THOSE CLOSED-DOOR COMMITTEES. HE VOTED AGAINST BOEHNER BEFORE HE WAS OUSTED AND WAY BEFORE TODAY'S NEWS.]

8~Gary Palmer of Alabama (Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama): $5,000. Palmer, a freshman from an overwhelmingly Republican district in and around Birmingham, said during a candidate debate in June that Boehner had "lost his legitimacy to lead."
Boehner's PAC sent him a check in September anyway.

9~Marlin Stutzman of Indiana (Webster): $5,000. Stutzman, who represents a safe Republican district in and around Fort Wayne, lost out to Steve Scalise of Louisiana in a race for majority whip last June.

10~Daniel Webster, a well-respected member whose 12 votes for speaker included his own, received $5,000 from Boehner's PAC in May 2013, about six months after he was re-elected in 2012. Webster won easily in 2014.

11~Brian Babin, a Texas freshman who voted "present" rather than back a candidate, received $5,000 from Freedom Project last September. Babin represents a staunchly Republican district that was previously held by Steve Stockman, who opposed Boehner for speaker in 2013.

12~ Boehner didn't make any political contributions during the 2014 campaign to Representative Justin Amash of Michigan, who voted against Boehner on Tuesday and also in 2013. Two of Boehner's former deputy chiefs of staff donated to Amash's opponent in the 2014 Republican primary. Even so, Amash has said he and Boehner have a very good working relationship.

Which others in the GOP voted against Boehner?

13~ Rep. Randy Weber (Tex.)
14~Rep. Jim Bridenstine (Okla.)
15~Rep. Jeff Duncan (S.C.)
16~Rep. Louie Gohmert (Tex.)
17~Rep. Tim Huelskamp (Kan.)
18~Rep. Walter Jones (N.C.)
19~Rep. Steve King (Iowa)
20~Rep. Tom Massie (Ky.)
21~Rep. Rich Nugent (Fla.)
22~Rep. Bill Posey (Fla.)
23~Rep. Scott Rigell (Va.)
24~Rep. Ted Yoho (Fla.)
25~ Rep. Scott Garrett (N.J.)

IT'S OBVIOUS BY VOTE TOTALS FOR "OTHERS" THAT THERE WERE INDEED 25 VOTES AGAINST BOEHNER FROM THE GOP SIDE OF THE AISLE:

Vote totals:

Webster: 12
Gohmert: 3
Yoho: 2
Jordan: 2

Others/"present": 6

TED CRUZ AND BOEHNER HAVE BEEN AT ONE ANOTHER FOR QUITE AWHILE NOW.
THE ONGOING ANIMOSITY BETWEEN CRUZ AND BOEHNER HAS GARNERED MUCH MEDIA ATTENTION, BUT THE BIGGEST HOOT HAD TO BE THIS ONE REPORTED BY THE NEW YORK TIMES:

"at a closed fund-raiser — in Texas, no less — it seemed to some of the 40 people in attendance that Mr. Boehner made his feelings about Mr. Cruz quite clear.
During the event, in Midland, Mr. Boehner was asked by the chairman of the state’s Republican Party, Tom Mechler, for his thoughts on Mr. Cruz’s presidential campaign.

Mr. Boehner chuckled and then raised a middle finger.

BACK IN JULY OF LAST YEAR, CRUZ DID A PHONE-A-THON TO OTHER GOP MEMBERS TO TRY TO GET THEM TO OPPOSE BOEHNER'S IMMIGRATION BILL.
"Boehner's bill aims to make it easier to deport the tens of thousands of Central American children who have crossed the border from Mexico earlier this year.

Cruz's opposition to Boehner's plan, HE SAID, lies in the fact that the speaker has declined to defund President Barack Obama's Deferred Action for Child Arrivals [DACA] executive order."

AND TEDDY OPPOSED ALL GOP "LEADERS"ON THAT NEW TRADE BILL, WHICH BOEHNER LIKES.

"Ted Cruz is reversing his position on a major trade bill, calling it a “corrupt” backdoor deal between Republican leaders and the White House.

“Why does Republican Leadership always give in to the Democrats? Why does Leadership always disregard the promises made to the conservative grassroots?” he wrote."

HOUSE REPUBLICANS TURNED ON BOEHNER BACK IN 2012 IN A BIG WAY.

"House Republicans embarrassed their speaker Thursday night by shutting down his Plan B to protect all but millionaires from a tax hike, come Jan. 1."

ALTHOUGH BELEAGUERED, BOEHNER IS BY NO MEANS THE ONLY REPUBLICAN THAT OTHER REPUBLICANS HAVE TURNED ON.

GOP INFIGHTING IS COMMON.
IT HAS BEEN GOING ON IN A SERIOUS WAY FOR OVER A DECADE, BUT HAS ESCALATED CONSIDERABLY SINCE 2008.

REMEMBER THE BLATANT DISRESPECT RON PAUL AND ALL WHO SUPPORTED HIM AT THE GOP CONVENTION RECEIVED?
THE DIRTY TRICKS THE GOP LEADERSHIP PULLED MADE HEADLINES AROUND THE WORLD.

THE MIAMI HERALD, WAY BACK IN 2010, ON SOME IN THE GOP TURNING ON ALLEN WEST:

"GOP infighting: Flare-up over failure to gerrymander in favor of Allen West"

SALON, 2010:
PHOTO CAPTION:
"U.S. House Majority leader John Boehner (R-OH) arrived to testify before the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct House ethics panel on Capitol Hill in Washington, October 19, 2006. The panel is looking into the conduct of former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), who resigned from Congress on September 29 amid revelations that he sent sexually explicit messages to young male congressional aides. "

"A
mong the party’s leaders in both chambers, there are some serious personality, policy and strategic conflicts — conflicts that figure to become more apparent if the GOP takes power.
Start in the House, where John Boehner, the GOP leader, can hear the footsteps of Eric Cantor. The two men don’t care for each other and have been in an uneasy alliance since Cantor became the party’s whip.
Tea Party senators — their ranks could include Marco Rubio, Sharron Angle, Rand Paul and Alaska’s Joe Miller, among others — will have a leader of their own: South Carolina’s Jim DeMint."
[NOT MITCH McCONNELL.]

FROM HUFFPOST, 2013:
Here's an extraordinary pair of paragraphs from GOP strategist Brian Walsh, writing in the opinion pages of U.S. News And World Report:

"The Senate Conservatives Fund and Heritage Action, the political arm of the once well-respected Heritage Foundation, have spent more money so far on attack ads this year against House and Senate Republicans than the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Democratic National Committee, combined.
Pointing fingers and attacking Republicans is apparently a very profitable fundraising business. It's also a detriment to the future of the Republican party. "

The business of enforcing purity control within the GOP ranks is booming, even if it fails to help the GOP govern. And the knives that carved up rock-ribbed Republicans like South Carolina Rep. Bob Inglis, Utah Sen. Bob Bennett and Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar are out once again. This time, they're aimed vaguely in the direction of GOP figures with well-established conservative pedigrees, like Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander and Texas Sen. John Cornyn."

ALSO BACK IN 2013, US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT MADE THE COMMENT

"
Conservatives Eat Their Own for Profit"
"
As chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2010, Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, led what has been cited as the "GOP's greatest expansion in the House since the Eisenhower Administration."

For more than two years, Sessions spent countless hours recruiting strong candidates and raising tens of millions of dollars that were pumped into Republican campaigns around the country. On November 2, 2010, House Republicans won a net gain of 63 seats and Nancy Pelosi's days as speaker of the House were over.
This week, the Senate Conservatives Fund – a super PAC run out of a Capitol Hill townhouse by operatives of former U.S. Senator Jim DeMint – called  Sessions a "Texas RINO" (that's a Republican-In-Name-Only for those unfamiliar with the term) and threatened to "actively recruit and fund a primary challenger" against him next year.
The career-threatening offense committed by this lifelong conservative leader? As chairman of the House Rules Committee, Sessions does not appear willing to help march Republicans off a political cliff and risk the House majority by shutting down the government – cutting off checks to military families and seniors and putting at great risk the recent spending cuts achieved through sequestration – over a fantastical fight to "defund" Obamacare. "

ON AND ON AND ON IT GOES.
WHO WILL BE ON THE GOP MENU TODAY?

AS THE CAMPAIGN FOR "PREZ, 2016" RAMPS UP, THE LIST OF THOSE WHO WANT TO BE KING GROWS DAILY.
BACKS WILL BE STABBED, ADS THAT TELL US THE SORDID TRUTHS ABOUT EACH ONE WILL BE BOUGHT AND WE WILL ONCE AGAIN BE INUNDATED AND BESIEGED BY CAMPAIGN LIES AND MUTUAL THROAT-SLASHINGS IN EVERY MAJOR MEDIA IN AMERICA.

AND IT IS NOT JUST THE GOP, THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALREADY STARTED THE MUD-SLINGING AS WELL.

THIS SHOULD TELL AMERICANS SOMETHING, ALL THESE "TRUTHS REVEALED" ABOUT EACH CANDIDATE BY ALL THE OTHERS, ALL THIS EATING OF THEIR OWN, ALL THIS CONSTANT INFIGHTING...
NOT ONE OF THEM IS FIT TO BE DOGCATCHER, LET ALONE SERVE IN CONGRESS OR IN THAT OVAL OFFICE.

ALL POLITICIANS, BOTH PARTIES HAVE SOLD US DOWN THE RIVER, AND HAVE TURNED ON AMERICAN VOTERS JUST AS THEY TURN ON EACH OTHER.
THEY'VE TURNED ON THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, NONE HAVE KEPT THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE.

WHILE THEY DEVOUR ONE ANOTHER, THEY EAT AT THIS NATION LIKE A CANCER.

WE REALLY SHOULD DO THE SANE, LOGICAL THING TO SAVE AMERICA...
CARVE OUT ALL THE CANCERS!
IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE THE PATIENT!
